Night Hawks
The performance immerses itself in the everyday life of people in a café. Emphasizing the moments when you can no longer say anything to each other. What do you do, what do you expect from each other, when you run out of words to share.
Inspired by the work of Edward hopper "Nighthawks", a movement performance is made.
About the design
The director and performer was Cinzia Scoglionero.
In the painting we can see two people sitting in silence at the bar in a cafe.
therefor, I wanted to make the cafe ambiance without actually making the whole bar.
Using only one of the most important things of a cafe.
Namely, a bar and made that the centre of my scenography.
However, I didn't just want to have a bar in my design. To give it something magical ,
I designed the bar like it was floating, using ropes attached to the ceiling.
